It's Kickoff Time!

Planning to join the adventure in the SoCal/LA FIRST Tech Region this season? Join us at a free Kickoff event on Saturday, Sept. 10, at Monrovia High School in Monrovia, CA.

SoCal Kickoff Details

We welcome all teams and potential teams to join us at our Annual Kickoff and Workshops. We ask that all groups register, as we have limited space in some workshops and try to plan for the number of people coming.

Price: Free!

Location and Parking: We will be again at the wonderful Monrovia High School. It is best reached via the 210 Freeway from the Huntington Dr. or Myrtle Ave. exits. Parking information will be sent to teams the week ahead of the event.

Schedule:

7:30 - 8:00 am -- Check-In, Louise Taylor Auditorium

8:00 - 9:00 am -- Overview, Discussion of League/Hybrid Play, and Game Reveal

9:00 - 9:30 am -- Team Game Exploration and Brainstorming; Sharing of 2015-16 Robots; Booths and Information

9:30 - 10:00 am -- Q&A on League/Hybrid Play

10:00 - 10:45 am -- Workshop Series 1

11:00 - 11:45 am -- Workshop Series 2

Workshops

We have a variety of rooms. During each Workshop Series, we will have one session (1A and 2A) in the Auditorium, 1 in Room 210 (large), and 6-7 in smaller rooms (30 max). We offer to each registered team 1 spots in each 30-seat small room, with additional seats to be offered on a will-call basis, space permitting. We will move one of the sessions into the larger room based on registrations. Also, two of the sessions are recommended for mostly for mentors, though team members are welcome, space permitting.

We will not be live broadcasting the event. We should be audio-recording these sessions to share online after the event.
